The Weekly Seven – April

These are the scriptures that have stood out for me last week.

Ephesians 1:4-5
4 just as He chose us in Him
before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will,

Ephesians 2: 4- 5

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Ephesians 3:18-19

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 4:1-6

I, therefore, the prisoner [a]of the Lord, [b]beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in [c]you all.

Ephesians 6: 10-12

10 Finally, my brethren,
be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the [b] wiles of the devil.
 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c] the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 5:1-7

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness,
let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking,
nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
5 For [a] this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them

Ephesians 5: 22-27

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church;
and He is the Savior of the body.
24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
26 that He might [g] sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church,
not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing,
but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Thank you for reading my weekly seven.

I hope you were blessed.
