One of the greatest challenges that women face is to understand their identity. The devil knows how important this is, he knows that knowing who you are and why you are, is extremely pivotal to encountering purpose and fulfilling your destiny as God would have you do. Once you know your identity, everything else will fall in place to favor and uplift you.
The major battle of identities is fought in the mind. What you put in your mind is what will determine where your identity is. You will then live in that regard, to be strengthened and nurtured by whatever you have allowed to enter your mind. There is a great issue though. It is possible to find one’s identity in the world, rather than in Christ. Will you choose to believe the lies of the devil, or will you choose to believe the identity your creator had in mind when He knit you fearfully and wonderfully in your mother’s womb? Because of who created us, it is paramount that we seek their opinion on who they intended for us to be, when they created us. God created us, we were created in God’s image and likeness according to Genesis 1:26.
When God made us, he made us both male and female , in His image and in His likeness. He is a three part being, and he also made us a three part being with spirit, soul and body.
One of the best revelations I ever got as a Christian, is to know that you I am a human being created in God’s image and likeness, with a spirit, soul and body. I first heard of this truth when I was born again in December, 2004, but I didn’t quite understand it. It was too complex for me to take in at the time. I went on with my salvation walk without necessarily being conscious about my nature.
I was living in South Korea, in 2016, when I met Betty Bitrus Stephens , a Nigerian who introduced me to Holy Ghost School. This was a lifestyle where we set aside a certain block of time daily in the presence of God , to get revelation. This time was called covenant time. During this time , we alone, in a quiet place, invited God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit to commune with us, and to take charge of the time, so that we would get revelation as God would deem fit. We divided this time into three parts, ⅓ was for invitation and prayer, the next ⅓ was for reading a book (There are books read at each stage of our journeys), and ⅓ of the time, I would be still to hear, see, perceive, anything that the Lord would show me at that time.
I would then journal my experience; I would write down what I did during covenant time, what I learnt from the book I read and what revelation I got in the last ⅓ of the time. I would then thank God for his time and revelation and then go about the day. Every time I had a revelation I would record it in my journal, and all my dreams were recorded in the same journal. I then met my discipler, Betty Stephens, twice a week to discuss my experience. She would guide me on how to interpret my revelations, gain insight and direction from them and have guidance for the direction of my life. This was a special time for me because it taught me to be disciplined and understand the things of the spiritual realm. I then grew in discernment and wisdom, slowly but intentionally.
This is a a series and I will be back in part two to continue with the story. Thank you for reading my blog. Please keep stopping by and be blessed as you read about me cruising with Jesus Christ.
