I have had the privilege of learning from world renown leaders, following them and trying to understand their lives. I have noted that always seem to be in time, achieving everything they set out to achieve and still being able to stand, healthy. They don’t seem to have pressure, or ” do they have it but are composed? ” , I keep asking my self. I got to realize what the secret to their seemingly perfect life is, when I attended New Dawn Camp in my church for the first time.

One of the topics on the program then was about learning how to prioritize certain things in our lives, and my Pastor, talked about the secret of his ability manage his priorities as being able to schedule time for them. He went on to explain how he struggled before he started scheduling, and how his life changed after.
From that day, I decided to find out how this scheduling worked for people, the more I read about it, the more I realized its benefits. I decided to start scheduling my time, but not before long I realized that much as I scheduled right, I was not consistent in keeping my schedules. I would like to share the op 7 things I have learnt about scheduling.
- Scheduling, according to John C. Maxwell , is “telling your time where to go instead of wondering where it went.”
- According to Paul minors, of productivityist.com, ” If you want to be productive, you must embrace the power of scheduling your tasks“
- Scheduling can yield better results only after one has clearly determined their priorities, and then creates a schedule around these priorities.
- It is possible to get bogged down by your own schedule.
- Instead of getting bogged down, it is better to schedule your time in advance and to make sure you don’t over schedule .
- Incase you fail to keep your schedule, you don’t have to beat yourself up because it can be a chance to learn.
- It is possible to have your schedule at the top of your mind or fingertips.
These are some of the lessons I have learnt from trying to find out about the power of scheduling.
I would also like to share with you examples of the scheduling tools I have used before. They include;
- Doodle at https://doodle.com/en/
- Calendly
- Google Calendar
