We have come a long way from the Law of process part 1 to part 4 now. The main focus of part 4 is to try to understand what we can do after knowing these truths about the Law process. The main question to answer is , “”What is the knowledge of it’s importance capable of doing in our lives?
Allow me to state the Law of process again, according to John C. Maxwell. It states that,
Leadership develops daily — not in a day. — John C. Maxwell
My first understanding of this law, was when I read the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership by John C. Maxwell. It mesmerized me so much that I had to write about it. He emphasizes that Leadership is a process and it is a compounded effect of continuously investing in one’s leadership development.
If you continually invest in your leadership development, letting your assets compound, the inevitable result is growth over time. – John C. Maxwell
From my study of this book, I have found that this law can be learned, and it has tremendous impact in our lives. Some of the benefits of understanding the law of process are;
- It allows us to be patient in our leadership journey, as we invest daily in getting better.
- It teaches us to become intentional about setting and noticing milestones of growth in our leadership journeys.
- It makes us more consistent leaders.
- It gives us direction on how to chart our leadership journey into the level 5 leader.
- It allows us to realize that we don’t know what we don’t know.
I am certain that there are many more benefits out there, but I will dwell on these because they are the ones that have stood out for me.
